St. John’s Chapel Cemetery surrounds St. John’s Anglican Church, which has been a part of the community since 1838. St. John’s Cemetery Restoration Committee – York received $1,000 for restoration and maintenance of this historic site and cemetery.
With the support of the Caledonia Community Foundation and the efforts of the new volunteer Board of Directors, many of the improvements to this historical property have been done at no cost, leaving the funds to be used for supplies as needed. Local residents as well as visitors will enjoy this well-kept location for many years to come.
These grants were made possible by citizens wanting to create a more vibrant community today, tomorrow and forever. In November, CCF will announce the recipients of the 2015 grant cycle.
