What does the Caledonia Community Foundation do?

We are a charity with two main goals. The first is to grow and use an endowment base to fund local charitable organizations and activities through annual grants. The second is to create partnerships between local individuals and organizations where donated funds can be treated as charitable gifts and spent on qualifying charitable activities in the community.

Why donate to the Caledonia Community Foundation?

All donations receive a tax donation receipt and the funds stay LOCAL. As a volunteer run organization, our administrative costs are low so more funds go to the community. Donations and bequests can be anonymous, be donated in a lump sum to be used slowly over time as directed by the donor and can be directed to the community as a whole or to specific projects. Can I designate my donation to a specific program or service?

Yes, you can designate your donation to a specific program or project within the community. Caledonia Community Foundation currently has funds established for 3 local scholarships, Lights Along the Grand, LaFortune Park and we have partnerships with several local organizations.
