During the holidays, gathering for a meal is an important family tradition. Unfortunately, for many families in need this is sometimes unattainable. The people at the Caledonia & District Food Bank, want to make spending quality family time around the table a memory for everyone, even those less fortunate in the community.
Caledonia and District Food Bank received $1,500 to support their Christmas Hamper program. These funds will help in providing food and gifts to the many families who utilize these services at Christmas and throughout the year.
With the support of many donors, including the Caledonia Community Foundation, the Caledonia & District Food Bank provided over 90 families and 200 people with packages containing special food, toiletries and small gifts during their 2014 Christmas Hamper program.
